At Luna Soul Alchemy, we believe that the spirit of a product begins with the intention behind its ingredients. While many of our herbs are wildcrafted by hand, the rest are thoughtfully gathered from Canadian companies who share our values. Whenever possible, we choose ingredients that are local, sustainable, and rooted in ethical, well-intentioned practices—from nourishing oils and butters to essential oils and mineral-rich salts ensuring top quality and purity.  This page is a reflection of our commitment to working in harmony with the land and a space to celebrate the beautiful ingredients we use and how they come to life in our products.

Coconut oil

Rich, silky, and deeply nourishing, coconut oil is one of our most beloved bases. It's natural emollient properties help soften and protect the skin while carrying herbal infusions deep into the tissues. Sustainable sourcing practices provide high-quality, unrefined oils that retain their natural healing properties.

shea butter

This creamy, nutrient dense raw butter is a powerhouse of skin-loving vitamins and essential fatty acids. It lends body and richness to our body butter and sun balm, creating a protective barrier without clogging pores. It is ethically sourced from Burkina Faso through a small Canadian company, ensuring the butter is free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

bees wax

A natural sealant and humectant, beeswax gives our salves and balms their ointment-like texture while locking in moisture. It also adds a subtle honeyed scent and a layer of protection to the skin. You can find this beautiful, sustainably sourced gift from bees in most of our products such as lip balms, lotions and salves to give it structure and texture.

Castor Oil

Thick and deeply penetrating, castor oil is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids providing essential nourishment for hair and skin. It's also used for it's ability to support lymphatic flow and draw herbal medicine into the skin. It brings a gentle warming action that pairs beautifully with our body oil and facial serum. Our castor oil ​sourced through a trusted Canadian distributer and is verified by ECOCERT.

Jojoba oil

Technically a liquid wax, jojoba closely mimics the skin's own sebum, making it ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin. It provides a light, non-greasy finish while delivering powerful nourishment. We use cold-pressed jojoba oil sourced through a trusted Canadian distributer and is verified by ECOCERT.

Grapeseed oil

Light, quick absorbing, and rich in antioxidants grapeseed oil helps tone and tighten the skin while delivering a silky finish. For this reason, we use grapeseed oil often, as a base for our oil infusions used in our Deep Relief Healing Salve, and in our Silk Lotions. Our oil is locally sourced, and derived from France and Italy.

olive oil

Time-honoured and deeply soothing, olive oil is the base of many of our herbal oil infusions. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin and rich in nutrients that support long-term skin health, which is why we chose to use it as a base for our new Flora + Flow Belly Balm, Everlasting Breath Chest Ointment, and Sacred Skin Balm. We use high-quality cold-pressed olive oil from Canadian distributers. This non-GMO oil is grown and made in Italy with a focus on quality and sustainability.

Vitamin E Oil

A natural antioxidant otherwise known as "the skin vitamin", vitamin E oil  supports skin repair, regeneration, and improves the look of healthy, radiant skin all while helping extend the shelf life of our products. It's especially beneficial in salves, lip balms and aging support blends such as our Body oil and Facial Serum. 

We ensure our vitamin E oil is non-synthetic and gathered from a trusted Canadian distributor with clean extraction methods.

Essential OIls

The soul of many of our formulas, essential oils bring both therapeutic benefits and aromatic beauty. From calming lavender and chamomile, to invigorating peppermint and rosemary, each drop is chosen with care and purpose. We gather our essential oils from Canadian companies that prioritize sustainable cultivation, ethical distillation methods, and traceable sourcing, ensuring purity and potency in every beautiful blend we create.

Magnesium Chloride

Magnesium is a mineral that supports relaxation, muscle recovery, and hormonal balance — and transdermal absorption is one of the most effective ways to receive its benefits.

​Our magnesium chloride is sourced from a family run company with a focus on quality, and dissolved into our sprays and Lavender Silk lotion to bring deep nourishment to the nervous system.

Vegetable Glycerine

Naturally derived from oils such as coconut. palm or soy, vegetable glycerin acts as a humectant — drawing moisture into the skin and holding it there. It's soothing, gentle, and with it's emollient -like properties it smooths and softens the skin. 

Our vegetable glycerin sourced from a Canadian distributer, is a kosher product and derived from palm, and is GMO and allergen-free.

Aloe Vera Juice

Cooling, calming, and hydrating, aloe vera juice is a staple in our skin-supportive blends, specifically our Botanical Body Butter. It delivers vitamins, enzymes, and anti-inflammatory compounds that help soothe irritation and replenish the skin barrier. We use high-quality, organic aloe vera juice from a local Canadian store.

Bentonite Clay

Drawn from ancient volcanic ash, bentonite clay carries powerful detoxifying and skin-soothing properties. It gently pulls impurities from the skin while delivering over 70 trace minerals that help tone and clarify.  We use this incredible powder in our Detoxifying Deodorant and gather this naturally sourced ingredient from a Canadian distributor.

Sodium Bicarbonate

Known commonly as baking soda, sodium bicarbonate is a gentle exfoliant and natural deodorizer. In our Detox Deodorant, it brings freshness and balance, and is especially effective for your pits when paired with detoxifying bentonite clay. We use aluminum-free sodium bicarbonate sourced from Canadian distributors committed to clean, food-grade quality.

Zinc Oxide

A mineral with remarkable skin-protective properties, zinc oxide acts as a natural barrier against irritation and environmental stress. It's a key ingredient in our sun balm, supporting both UV reflection and tissue repair. We use non-nano, uncoated zinc oxide, Canadian sourced, prioritizing purity, safety and environmental care.
